The Evergreen State Fair is looking for 2,000 (plus) people who would like to attempt to break a
Guinness World Record for the Largest Bunny Hop. By largest, we mean longest line ~ most number of
people. The actual hop itself will last about 5-10 minutes. We’re aiming for 2,000 people to hop for at least 5
minutes, but the real record comes in the number of hoppers. The current record is held by 1,880 people in Lake
Geneva, Wisconsin set in April, 2006. Before that, 1,501 participants hopped, hopped, hopped together in 2002
in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
It’s all happening on Hoppin’ Friday, August 24th at 2:00pm on the fairgrounds. Registration begins at
10:00am. There will be an actual demonstration of how to appropriately and correctly hop in the Grandstands at
2:00; then, . . . the fun will begin! The first 2,000 hoppers to sign up will get FREE Bunny ears!
