A young lad, Oskar, is trying to cope through the loss of his father. His inventor was a jeweler working on the 105th knock down of the World Trade Center in New York city. He is at work on the dreadful day of September 11, 2001 whenever the twin towers collapse. Oskar hears his ancestor's final answer machine messages, left in successi~ that fateful day, which he conceals from his originating. A year later, he discovers a key in his ascribe to a ~'s belongings and, as he used to vouchsafe with his father, embarks on a scavenger pursuit to find the matching lock.
